This Privacy Policy explains what information Hermia collects, how we use it, how we protect it, and what rights you have under Australian privacy law.
Hermia is an AI-powered lead qualification tool built for Fire & ESM (Essential Safety Measures) commercial contractors. We're based in Victoria, Australia, and everything we do complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Got a question about this policy? Email us at capital@hermia.au and we'll get back to you.
There are two types of data involved when you use Hermia, and it's important to understand the difference.
Your business data — your name, ABN, billing details, and account information — is held by Hermia and covered by this policy.
Your customers' data — names, phone numbers, job details, and photos — belongs to you. Hermia only processes it on your behalf. We never collect it directly from the public, and we never use it for our own purposes.
As the contractor, you're responsible for having the right to collect your customers' information and for getting their permission where required. Hermia is just the tool that helps you handle it faster.
Hermia doesn't generate leads or collect customer data on its own. We only handle what you send us. Your customers' data belongs to you — not us.
Depending on how you use Hermia, we process three types of information:
We only use information to run the Hermia service. That means:
We do not sell your data. We do not use your customers' information for advertising. We do not share it with anyone outside the services needed to run Hermia.
We take security seriously. Here's what we do:
You have the right to see the information Hermia holds about you, and to ask us to fix anything that's incorrect.
Because Hermia doesn't keep a permanent database of your customers' enquiry records, any requests from homeowners about their personal data need to go to you as the contractor — you collected it, and you're legally responsible for it.
For requests about your own account information — billing, business details, account history — email us at capital@hermia.au and we'll respond within 30 days.
You can ask us to delete any personal data Hermia holds about you at any time. This includes your account details, Facebook and Instagram lead data received through Meta integrations, WhatsApp message records, job qualification logs, and any connection tokens linked to your account.
We'll delete your data within 30 days of receiving your request and send you an email to confirm when it's done. If any of your data has already been pushed to your Simpro or Servicem8 account, we'll also let you know to remove it from there.
Email capital@hermia.au with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Include the email address or phone number linked to your Hermia account. We'll handle the rest and confirm once it's complete.
This right is protected under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principle 11. We take it seriously and we'll never make it difficult to exercise.
